Featured Project - Just Chill!

K did an AMAZING mini album for Lesson 20 that I wanted to share.  I am blown away by her creativity, fresh style, and the way she documents the little details of her life!

Some changes to the blog...

So I have double announcements tonight...

The blog is switching to new lessons every other week rather than every week.  While I loved the idea of every week, I think it is more than most can handle :)  In line with this, there will be no new lesson this week!  But check back in on September 2nd for the next lesson!

Design Team Call

So I love my little design team, but I ask a lot of them given how few of them there are!  So I am looking to expand!  I want to add at least 2 new members.  I am sorry to say this a non-paying gig :)  But it can be a great way to keep yourself challenged and good experience for other design teams!

I am looking for someone who:

1. Is interested in creating projects that are about the STORY.  This means journaling on the majority of your pages. 
2. Can commit to making 2 layouts per month for the lessons.  I send out the lessons at least 2 weeks in advance to give you plenty of time :) 
3. Can work under deadlines - layouts need to be in Tuesday night
4. Likes to play!  I want this to be fun for everyone.
5. Likes the lessons - check out some past lessons to see if this something you would want to do

Sound interesting?  Just send me 2 examples of your work to [email protected] along with the answers to the following info:

• Your name
• Link to your gallery
• What you tend to scrap about 
• Anything I should know :)

Submissions due by September 1st!  I will send you an email to confirm team members on Wed Sept 2nd.

August GM Giveaway!

Mara and I combined her amazing paper stash with some embellies from my stash to create a BEAUTIFUL kit as the giveaway for August!  In addition to plenty of paper, the kit includes a huge chipboard mini from Maya Road. 

For each GM lesson (any of the lessons) that you create a new layout (or project) for and post a link back to the blog will get you a chance to win this kit!  You have until Sept 1st - 2 weeks!  So get scrapping and GET MEANINGFUL :)

Lesson 21 - Evidence

I'm not sure if you watch the show House, but several times on that show they have sent doctors over to search a patient's home to try to figure out what is making them sick.  Putting aside the invasion of privacy, I find the idea of trying to understand someone by looking around their home pretty interesting.  

If someone looked around your home, what would they find?  What would they learn about you simply by looking at the collection of items in your home, by seeing what is in your fridge, by peering into your medicine cabinets?  

This week I want you to observe your surroundings and think about what it says about you and the life you lead.  Capture the evidence of your existence!

Lesson 20 - Just Chill

One of the biggest issues facing modern society is stress.  We all spend some much time running around trying to do everything that we often forget to take time to relax and de-stress.  This week I want you to reflect on the things they help calm you, center you or just plain old relax!

Lesson 19 - So Cool!

I remember my obsessions with Duran Duran as a 12 year old.  I loved their songs (still do!) and would spend hours listening to Simon Le Bon's sensual voice and thinking about his dreamy good looks!  While I no longer have the same obsession with Duran Duran, I have had other things come and go over time that I was so in to!  

And when I go home to visit my family, I love seeing what my nephew is really in to  - from his first teddy bear, to his dinosaur obsession, to his new love for bakugan toys.  

This weeks lesson is all about those things we (or our child or husband, etc. ) once thought was the coolest!  The more embarrassing the better!  :)
