Neurotic? Who me? - Most of have some little thing that we are a be neurotic about. The thing we fuss over and want to be just so. The thing that we spend more time and energy on than anyone can believe. Perhaps its vacuuming the carpet so you get perfect neat "rows", re-organizing your markers into ROY G BIV order, or the way the toilet paper hangs on the roll. Come on, even the most laid back person has their little neurotic habits or obsessive/compulsive behaviors! Spill it!

journaling:
1. If I go into a public restroom, I always pull off the
first 5 or so squares of toilet paper and throw them away. Then I use the next
ones for myself. Something about the hanging exposed TP touching my tush gives
me the willies so I must get rid of them!
2. I burp. Alot.
3. Ceiling fans have to be on 24/7.
4. If I have to retie my shoe, I will un-tie and retie the other one. I can't
stand for one to be freshly tied and snug and the other one not.
5. I will only drink Dr Pepper from a can or 20oz. bottle, and it has to
be ice cold. No 2-liter or room-temp DP whatsoever! And it has to be
out of a plastic
cup, not glass. Also, in any cold drink, I like alot of ice. I will
intentionally order the next larger size of a drink so I can have extra
ice.
6. In our house in the bathrooms, I have one towel to dry your hands and one to
wipe down the sink. I absolutely will not use one towel for both. And I have to
wipe down the sink (bath and kitchen) after I use it. I can't stand water
spots. And while we're in the bathroom, the toilet seat must be down when not
in use and the toilet paper always has to be over, never under.
7. I am a total grammar and punctuation Nazi. I always proofread before I post
and again after I post. It also drives me nuts if someone quotes me on a
message board before I can fix a typo.
8. I am constantly adjusting things when I walk through my house. If something
is moved, a picture is crooked, etc. I have to fix it. I have to refrain from
doing this in other people's houses.
9. When typing, if I drag something out long for emphasis (like “I was
SOOOOOOOOOO mad”) it has to have 3, 5, or 10 of the emphasized letter - in this
instance I used 10.
10. All doors and drawers must be closed when not in use. I cannot stand them
hanging open.
11. I won't let Brendan fold towels or load the dishwasher. If he does either
one, I will redo it.
12. When adjusting the volume on the TV or radio, it has to be on an even
number or one of the 5's.
13. I cannot stand loose stocks. They must be snug. And if I step in something
wet in them, they come off immediately.
14. I MUST have a cover to go to sleep.
15. Closet doors must be closed at night to go to sleep. You never know what’s
lurking in there. (Again see quirk 10.)
16. I hate walking through a dark house. I always carry my cell phone as a
flashlight.
17. The logo on my Starbucks cup and coffee sleeve have to be in line with the
spout on my lid.
18. The hangers have to hook to the left when I hang up clothes and all clothes
are hung up by type (white tshirts, colored tshirts, short-sleeve blouses,
long-sleeve blouses, jeans, skirts, etc.)
19. As I grocery shop, I load my cart
neatly so I can unload it the way I want the checker to pack it. Although I
usually try to use the self check-out line so I can pack my groceries the way I
like.
20. I cannot stand to hear the dogs lick themselves at night when I am in bed.
They have learned that all I have to do is snap my fingers and they stop.
21. I am a numbers freak. And it bothers me that this layout ends on 21 and not
an even number or a 5’s number (see quirk 12).

journaling reads: I am that crazy Post-it lady. I keep them everywhere--desk, purse, kitchen, bedside table. I wake up in the middle of the night and write them. I buy the mega-packs. I would be a mess without them!
